EU antitrust regulators said the companies also agreed with the U.S. Justice Department to divest themselves of divisions that supply financial-market research, earnings estimates, basic financial data on businesses and economic-data archives.
The EU said this was necessary to make sure financial institutions and customers of these products weren't faced with "the likelihood of price increases.
